Who I Am
I am Jean Marie Ndumbi, a visionary and humble individual who transforms obstacles into opportunities, turning challenges into triumphs. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo into a family of six as the youngest child, I’ve always believed, “The last shall be first.” My life is guided by core values of service, impact, influence, and giving back.
Growing up in the small town of Kananga, my journey began with resilience. My birth, a miraculous event amidst life-threatening circumstances, symbolizes the tenacity that defines me. Raised by a single mother after my father fled due to political unrest, I witnessed her relentless determination to support our family. My siblings and I contributed by engaging in small businesses, gradually evolving into entrepreneurs. These formative experiences taught me the value of perseverance and the power of community.
My educational foundation was shaped at College Saint Pie X, which cultivated my intellectual curiosity. Later, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration from Brigham Young University Idaho and pursued a specialized education in wealth management through the Investment and Wealth Institute. Additionally, I hold certifications in business, financial management, leadership development, and human capital development. As a native French speaker, I also achieved Advanced High English proficiency from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

My Journey
From humble beginnings selling water on the streets to leading businesses and mentoring others, I have embraced opportunities to serve and uplift those around me. My professional journey began in 2017 as a customer service representative at a local bank in the DRC. Over time, I transitioned into roles in real estate, construction, and finance, culminating in my position with Morgan Stanley’s Virtual Financial Advisory department, where I enhance financial literacy and stability for clients.
I’ve also dedicated myself to community service, volunteering with the United Nations World Food Programme and serving as a full-time missionary with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These experiences reinforced my commitment to making a meaningful impact.
